The goal of the Local development area is to support balanced regional and territorial development with a focus on housing affordability and sustainable tourism.

In 2027, expenditure in this area is administered by four state budget chapters. The Ministry of Regional Development administers 88% of expenditure. The remaining 12% falls mainly to the new Úřad rozvoje území ČR (5.1%) and General Treasury Management (6.7%).
